HydroLink’s services are accessible by a ‘decentralized app’ (dApp), which refers to middleware and user-interface (UI) integrated with an underlying blockchain - in this instance, the HydroLedger. The unique component, which differentiates a dApp from a conventional application, is storing data on an immutable ledger.
Certification, supply chain management, and carbon accounting/trading represent the critical modules of the HydroLink dApp. These modules are written in TypeScript using the NestJS framework. Read more on each module:
